The Night Elves' goddess, worshipped as the moon and the mother of the natural world. Mother of Cenarius.
The Sisters of Elune are her priesthood, headed by Tyrande Whisperwind at the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus. Moonwells — pools of Elune's blessing — are found across kaldorei territory.
Tauren identify Elune with Mu'sha, one of the Earthmother's eyes — a rare piece of genuine cross-cultural theology, and a nice detail to give a tauren and night elf druid to argue about.
