The centaur are the offspring of Zaetar, son of Cenarius, and Princess Theradras, an earth elemental princess and daughter of Therazane. Their birth killed their father. Cenarius disowned them.
They spread across Desolace, Thousand Needles, and the Barrens, and hunted the Tauren to the brink until Thrall's orcs intervened.
The Clans
Five khanates, perpetually at war with each other. At launch the two accessible ones are:
- Gelkis Clan (Desolace) — will deal with outsiders who kill Magram
- Magram Clan (Desolace) — will deal with outsiders who kill Gelkis
Also present: the Kolkar (Barrens, Desolace), the Galak (Thousand Needles), the Maraudine (Maraudon).
Theradras herself lies at the heart of Maraudon, mourning Zaetar and corrupting the earth around her.
