The tauren homeland — and it has only been the tauren homeland for four years.
They were nomads hunted across the Barrens by Centaur until Thrall's orcs helped Cairne Bloodhoof drive them off. Mulgore is what they settled, and Thunder Bluff on its mesas is the most peaceful capital in the world.
The Venture Company is already trying to mine it, which the tauren regard as roughly equivalent to grave-robbing.
