Continent: Eastern Kingdoms · Levels: 10–20 (tabletop 3–5) · Held by: Forsaken, contested
The Forsaken's southern approach, and a zone where three separate problems overlap.
Shadowfang Keep stands above Pyrewood Village, where the archmage Arugal — driven mad after summoning worgen to fight the Scourge — now presides over a castle full of the things he called. The villagers of Pyrewood transform at nightfall.
Rot Hide gnolls have been deliberately infected with the plague by Scourge necromancers. Ambermill holds out as a Dalaran mage enclave. And to the south stands the Greymane Wall, behind which the kingdom of Gilneas sealed itself off decades ago and has not been heard from since.
