The mage-rulers of Dalaran. They governed a city-state of pure scholarship, policed dangerous magic, and provided the world's foremost expertise on the Burning Legion — descended from the Guardians of Tirisfal.
Archimonde destroyed the city during The Third War. What remains is a crater under a violet magical dome in the Alterac Mountains, maintained by surviving mages who are trying to rebuild and are not making obvious progress.
